A Wyoming blizzard. A crashed car. Haloke's only six years old, but there's no one else. Her father's dead. Her mother's clinging to life. She draws deep within her, to her Arapaho and Navajo roots, and sets out to find help.
Twenty years later, it's Haloke's younger half-sister, Johona, who desperately needs help. She'd been knocked unconscious and then brutally raped. Johona steadfastly clings to the belief that Deputy Logan can find those who are responsible. And maybe - just maybe - her sister would be able to return home from deployment overseas to spend Christmas with the family.
The lives of Haloke, Logan, and Johona are entwined by fate, just as are the lives of those on and off the reservation. And the story has just begun ...

Wyoming Vision is book one in the Arapaho Vision Quest series. In general, Lisa's novellas are written without explicit intimacy or violence. As such they are suitable for teens and up. That being said, this specific series does center around one young woman's recovery from rape. Readers who would have concerns reading about this sensitive topic should be aware of that storyline.
Half of all proceeds from this series benefits battered women's shelters.
I would love your input as I'm writing these - it's your suggestions which will help guide the direction the story moves in! If you prefer to read your stories complete, you are welcome to wait until the sequence is complete and then buy the box set. Either way, you support the cause! I traditionally create a boxed set for my short story series every 10 books.

This is a fifty page short story to encourage the reader to purchase the rest of the series - all short stories at .99 but they add up to nearly six dollars for what amounts to a short book. I enjoyed the first (free) story but it's not a book and not compelling enough to make me want to buy the rest of the chapters. Would rather see the author develop this into a real book with the characters more fully developed and the story line fleshed out a little. I might be willing to pay for that.Product details

Wyoming Vision Arapaho Vision Quest Book 1 edition by Lisa Shea Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
I'm a fan of Lisa Shea and her paranormal books. This series is shaping up to be a really good one. I love the Native American characters who have dream visions, and the two sisters, Haloke and Johona, who are connected through their dreams. Sadly, the story does center around the rape of one of the sisters, but there is nothing graphic in the telling. I like how the detective investigating the case is connected to the family because his father saved Haloke after a car accident when she was six years old. Such a well woven web of connection throughout the whole series, and this book sets the stage. I can't wait to read them all. I read an ARC provided by the author for free with no expectation of review.
I loved this story, I recommend everyone to read this book. I look forward to reading more of her books. Kattie.
another good read, just thinking of me being in the past
Loved it. Too bad i cant find the next books 😐
Lisa Shea is a great author! Her writing is so relaxed it makes everything she writes appear to be as though she was talking directly to you and it always ends too soon.
Great start to what I think is going to be an awesome story! Going to get part 2 now! Lots of intrigue and mysticism to this story!
This story is written in a simple, narrative style covering a wide ranging number of background events that quickly bring the reader right into the story and the characters involved. The visions are vivid and are electrifying real, speaking of a connectedness between two sisters. One presumes that this is culturally part of the Native American heritage and is presented as such in a believable way.
If I had not known a psychic friend who practices psychometry, clairvoyace and clairaudience, the story would have sounded a bit far fetched, but it could well happen the way it is described and the story makes for fascinating reading.
It ends in a way that makes the reader want to know what happened next.
